Compressed air distribution
Manifold Blocks & Pneumatic Manifolds for Compressed Air Distribution
One inlet, many consumers: how cleanly compressed air reaches your system is decided at the manifold. STASTO carries the complete range for pneumatic compressed air distribution – from the KPV series manifold block with integrated ball valves and manifold blocks in aluminium and 1.4301 stainless steel to cross, T, L and multi-way manifolds in brass. This lets you route compressed air in an orderly way, with defined flow, and individually shut off to every connection point.

Why STASTO
Manifold blocks and air distributors for every piping layout
Manifold blocks, cross, T, L, wall-mounted and multiple manifolds: you choose the design to suit the geometry of your system – with documented characteristics for each series and variant.
Every design from a single source
Manifold blocks of series KPV, KP, DI02, DI03, DI24 and DI25, cross manifolds, T and L manifolds, multiple and quick-coupling socket manifolds, as well as wall-mounted manifolds of series VT. You choose the design by geometry, not by availability.
Individually lockable outlets
The KPV series manifold block has integrated ball valves with screwdriver operation: you isolate individual consumers from the supply without shutting down the line. A matching spare parts kit with spindle, replacement ball and ball seals is available.
Flow documented, not estimated
Flow values are documented for the T manifolds of series MDI03 and MDI18: from 2,500 Nl/min (MDI03‑14, DN 6) through 11,000 Nl/min (MDI03‑12, DN 15) up to 18,000 Nl/min (MDI18‑10, 1″ connection). This lets you size the distribution line against pressure drop.
Material matched to the environment
Anodised aluminium, black-painted aluminium, brass, PBT or stainless steel 1.4301 (series DI24, max. operating pressure 16 bar). The deciding factors are the medium, the environment and the cleaning regime.

Air Distribution Manifold Types and Selection Criteria Explained
Which compressed air manifold suits your installation? This overview sorts out designs, materials and port sizes – as a basis for sizing the distribution line.
Compressed Air Manifold Designs
- Manifold Bar
- One inlet, several outlets arranged in a row – single-sided (e.g. series KPV, DI02) or double-sided (series KP, DI03, DI24). Typical for machine lines with many identical take-off points.
- Manifold Block
- Stationary distribution with a large inlet, such as series DI16 with a 3/4″ inlet and five single-sided 3/8″ or 1/2″ outlets.
- Cross Manifold
- Star-shaped distribution in the tightest space: series RA029 in aluminium with four side outlets, port size 1/8″ to 1/2″; also available in brass versions with 1/8″ and 1/4″ female thread.
- T and L Manifolds
- Point branching directly on the line. Brass fittings from M5 to 3/8″ in male/female thread combinations, modular T-manifolds of series MDI03 and MDI18 up to 1″ port size.
- Wall and Ceiling Manifolds
- Series VT as a brass wall-mounted manifold with 2 or 3 outlets of 1/2″ and inlet 1/2″ to 1¼″; ceiling brackets DW266–DW268 for the transition from the ring main to the take-off point.
Selection Criteria for Manifold Bars
- Inlet and Outlet Thread
- From M5 through 1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″ up to 1¼″; DI25 uses push-in connections Ø 4, 6 and 8 mm, PI79C Ø 6, 8 and 10 mm.
- Number of Outlets and Outlet Spacing
- 2 to 12 outlets, pitches from 11 mm (DI25) through 25 mm (KPV), 30 to 36 mm (KP, DI02, DI03) up to 50 mm (DI24), or 50/60 mm for series VT.
- Flow rate and pressure drop
- The distribution line must carry the sum of all consumers. Documented values range from 2,500 Nl/min (MDI03‑14) to 18,000 Nl/min (MDI18‑10).
- Material
- Anodised aluminium for the standard case, black-painted aluminium for series DI16, brass for fitting and wall manifolds, PBT for series PI79C, stainless steel 1.4301 for series DI24.
- Shut-off capability
- Integrated ball valves, as on series KPV, allow individual consumers to be serviced during operation – without additional shut-off valves in the line.

Applications
Where pneumatic manifolds are used
Compressed air distribution matters wherever a single supply line feeds many consumers – from the workbench to special-purpose machinery.
Workshop & assembly
Provide several take-off points at a workbench using quick-coupling socket manifolds DN 7.2 or cross manifolds of the RA029 series, without laying additional lines. Ceiling brackets bring the supply line neatly to the wall.
Production & machine lines
Manifold strips of the KP and DI03 series distribute compressed air on both sides along the machine and keep hose runs short. With the KPV series, individual consumers can be depressurized for maintenance.
Plant engineering & supply lines
Manifold blocks of the DI16 series with 3/4″ connection and wall-mounted manifolds of the VT series up to 1¼″ feed several branch lines from a ring main – with defined outlet spacing for clean line routing.
Areas with intensive cleaning requirements
The double-sided manifold strip of the DI24 series in 1.4301 stainless steel with 1″ connection, 1/2″ outlets and a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar is designed for environments with increased demands on corrosion resistance and cleaning.
Fixtures & special-purpose machines
Multiple manifolds of the PI79C series made of PBT with push-in fittings Ø 6, 8 and 10 mm that rotate 360° supply clamping and handling technology compactly, directly at the unit.
Test Benches & Measuring Points
Brass L and T manifolds from M5 to 3/8″ branch the line at specific points at a cylinder, valve or measuring point – without an additional manifold strip in the setup.

Frequently asked questions
Questions about pneumatic distribution blocks and manifolds
Answers on designs, specifications and choosing the right series.
What is a manifold in pneumatics?
A manifold is a component that distributes compressed air from one inlet to several outlets arranged in a row. Typically it has 2 to 12 outlets with pitches from 11 to 60 mm, arranged on one or both sides. This lets you supply several consumers along a machine from a single supply line.
What is the difference between a manifold, a cross distributor and a distribution block?
The manifold distributes air in a row to many outlets, the cross distributor branches in a star pattern to four side outlets, and the distribution block is a stationary unit that splits one large inlet into a few larger outlets. The manifold suits machine lines, the RA029 series cross distributor suits branching in very tight spaces, and the DI16 series distribution block with 3/4″ connection suits supplying several lines.
Which manifold has individually shut-off outlets?
The KPV series manifold has an integrated ball valve at each outlet, operated with a screwdriver. This lets you isolate individual consumers for maintenance without shutting down the whole line. Available with 3/8″ connection, 1/8″ or 1/4″ outlets, 25 mm pitch and 6, 8 or 10 outlets.
Are stainless steel manifolds available?
Yes, the double-sided DI24 series manifold is made of stainless steel 1.4301 and is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 16 bar. It has a 1″ connection, 1/2″ outlets and a 50 mm outlet pitch, and is available with 6, 10 or 12 outlets.
What flow rate do the MDI03 and MDI18 series T-distributors have?
The documented flow rates range from 2,500 Nl/min for MDI03‑14 (DN 6) and 11,000 Nl/min for MDI03‑12 (DN 15) to 18,000 Nl/min for MDI18‑10 with 1″ connection. The maximum inlet pressure for these series is 16 bar.
Which connection threads are available for pneumatic manifolds?
The range covers connection threads from M5 through 1/8″, 1/4″, 3/8″, 1/2″, 3/4″ and 1″ up to 1¼″. Push-in connection versions are also available: the DI25 series for tubing Ø 4, 6 and 8 mm, and the PI79C series for Ø 6, 8 and 10 mm with connections that rotate through 360°.
Which manifold is suitable for several quick coupling sockets on a workbench?
The 2-way and 3-way quick coupling socket manifolds of the C0C72 series are well suited for this. They have DN 7.2, a brass body with NBR seal and G1/4″ to G1/2″ threads, available with female or male thread. This lets you provide several outlet points in one place.
Are custom versions of manifold blocks possible?
Yes, we manufacture special versions with a different number of outlets, different outlet spacing, a different thread or a special material on request. To do so, send us the inlet thread, number of outlets, outlet thread, spacing and operating pressure.
