Standardized Connection Patterns - Predictable Replacement
All valves in the PS110, PS111 and PS112 series are manufactured to ISO 5599/1. The connection pattern for each size is standardized, so valves can be swapped onto existing base and sub-plates - without reworking the piping. We are happy to check actual interchangeability with your existing plate.
Two Sizes, Clear Flow Values
ISO1 with a nominal bore of 8 mm delivers 1,080 Nl/min (PS110/PS111) or 800 Nl/min in the 5/3 version PS112. ISO2 with a nominal bore of 13 mm reaches 2,200 Nl/min (PS110/PS111) or 1,800 Nl/min (PS112). Size ISO3 is also available depending on the variant - please inquire.
Valve Island Instead of Individual Piping
With sub-bases, end plates and manifold kits from the SBI1 and SBI2 series, individual valves become compact valve islands with shared air supply and common exhaust manifold. Individual base plates such as SBI1-SBL or SBI2-SL cover the need for decentralized single-valve mounting.
Fully Assembled and Tested
On request, STASTO supplies ready-made combinations: valves, coils, connector sockets, manifold connection plates, silencers and fittings - fully assembled and tested as a single item. This reduces assembly time and sources of error during commissioning.

Standard and sizes
- What the standard defines
- ISO 5599-1 defines the position and size of ports 1 (pressure), 2 and 4 (working), 3 and 5 (exhaust), as well as the mounting points on the sub-base. This allows the valve and sub-base to be sourced as separately available components.
- ISO1 size
- Nominal size 8 mm, 1,080 Nl/min for PS110/PS111, 800 Nl/min for the 5/3 series PS112. Working ports 1/4".
- ISO2 size
- Nominal size 13 mm, 2,200 Nl/min for PS110/PS111, 1,800 Nl/min for PS112. Working ports 3/8".
- ISO3 size
- Sub-bases such as BF-3060 with 1/2" ports show that ISO3 is also covered - versions available on request depending on the variant.
- Selection criterion
- The decisive factor is not the housing size, but the flow rate required at the cylinder.
From individual valve to valve island
- Sub-bases
- SBI1-CE and SBI2-CE are lined up together and form the base body of the valve terminal; BMI1 is the sub-base for ISO1.
- End plate kit
- SBI1-CK and SBI2-CK close off the row and establish the central supply.
- Individual base plates
- SBI1-SBL and SBI2-SL are the right choice for decentralized single mounting directly at the point of use.
- Valve terminal advantages
- A central compressed air supply instead of many individual lines, common exhaust with silencer, shorter assembly time and clearer wiring.

What does ISO 5599-1 mean for directional control valves?
ISO 5599-1 standardizes the port pattern of pilot-operated pneumatic directional control valves. Valves from different manufacturers with the same size therefore fit the same sub-base or manifold plate. The standard defines the location and size of ports 1 (pressure), 2 and 4 (working ports), 3 and 5 (exhaust), as well as the mounting points.
Are ISO valves interchangeable across manufacturers?
Yes, for the same size, the port pattern is standardized, so valves can be swapped on existing sub-bases and manifold plates - without reworking the piping. We're happy to check the actual interchangeability for your installed base against your existing plate.
Which size do I need - ISO1 or ISO2?
What matters is the required flow rate, not the housing size. ISO1 with a nominal bore of 8 mm delivers 1,080 Nl/min, ISO2 with a nominal bore of 13 mm delivers 2,200 Nl/min (each for PS110/PS111); for the 5/3 series PS112, the values are lower by design at 800 and 1,800 Nl/min respectively.
What is a valve manifold and what are its advantages?
A valve manifold combines several valves on shared manifold plates and supplies them centrally with compressed air. Advantages over individual piping include a central air supply instead of many separate lines, shared exhaust with a silencer, shorter installation time, and cleaner wiring. It's built up from center sections such as SBI1-CE or SBI2-CE and a manifold plate kit, SBI1-CK or SBI2-CK.
What is the difference between 5/2 monostable, 5/2 bistable, and 5/3?
A monostable 5/2 valve (PS110) returns to a defined rest position via spring return when the signal is lost, while a bistable 5/2 impulse valve (PS111) holds its switching position without a continuous signal. The 5/3 valve PS112 additionally offers a center position - blocked for holding a position, or exhausted for force-free manual movement.
What is the difference between ISO 5599-1 and NAMUR?
ISO 5599-1 standardizes the port pattern for mounting on base and sub-base plates, while the NAMUR interface, with mounting dimensions per VDI/VDE 3845, is designed for direct mounting onto pneumatic actuators of valves. For process-related valve actuation, you'll find 3/2 and 5/2 NAMUR valves in the corresponding category.
Which solenoid coils and device connectors fit the PS110, PS111 and PS112 series?
All three series work with the standard coil C001 at a 22 mm connector width, for example C001-03 for 24 V DC/48 V 50-60 Hz and C001-22 for 230 V 50-60 Hz. As device connector, the standard version C002-31-6 (0-250 V AC/DC) or the variant C002-31-LV-1/-LV-2 with yellow LED and VDR is available.
